Patrice will be having an exhibition of her works at the the Praxis Art Gallery in Etobicoke from April 27, 2001 to May 10, 2001.
Patrice has writen an artist statement for the show which will appear in the upcoming Slate Art Magazine for April/May. The statement will appear as follows:
Patrice Stephens-Bourgeault, a professional artist, specializes in pastels and the environment. She is a plein air painter who combines impressionism with traditional fine art to produce a warmth and freedom that excites and captivates the viewer’s attention. Her paintings reveals a subject matter more real than what you see with your eyes or with a camera. Her silverware still life shimmers and her landscapes have movement.
